QUETTA: Syed Azhar Ali Shah, President, Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF), has said that cycling team of Pakistan Cycling Federation was going to participate in the Individual Time Trial (ITT) events of the forthcoming World Road Cycling Championship scheduled to be held with effect from 17 to 25 September, 2022 in Australia.

In a statement issued here on Monday, he said that PCF team would consist of two male and two female cyclists, adding that two (2) Selection Committees had been constituted under the Championship of Muazzam Khan, Secretary General, PCF. He said the Committees will conduct trials at Lahore and Karachi on 05.08.2022 and 07.08.2022. He added Miss Maham would be coordinator of the Selection Committee for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while Javed Khan had been notified as Coordinator of Selection Committee of Sindh and Balochistan.

Shah further said that only those players would be allowed for trial who possess valid passports and cycling license. He urged all teams affiliated with Pakistan Cycling Federation to nominate top male and female cyclists of their respective clubs for trials.
