The Convener and Group Members of the Pakistan- Tanzania Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) on Wednesday reaffirmed their commitment to work closely for strengthening bilateral relations and trade cooperation between both countries.
The PFG convened its first meeting here in Islamabad, under the Convenership of Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, MNA, featuring briefing session from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce.
The meeting was attended by MNAs, Khurram Munawar Manj, Ahmad Raza Maneka, Muhammad Khan Daha, Muhammad Shaharyar Khan Mahar, Mian Khan Bugti and Muhammad Saad Ullah (Virtually).
The briefing focused on key areas of cooperation, including economic ties, exchange of parliamentary delegations, with the goal of enhancing bilateral and trade relations.
Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, MNA /Hon. Convener (PFG) Pakistan-Tanzania appreciated comprehensive presentation and acknowledged ongoing efforts of our mission at Tanzania to position Tanzania as an attractive destination for international trade and investment.
During the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed that there are currently no direct competitors from Tanzania in the sports and surgical instrument sectors against Pakistan.
