Pakistan and Tajikistan have expressed a firm resolve to bolster their existing military-to-military partnership, with a specific focus on counter-terrorism, joint training exercises, and ensuring regional security.

According to an official information today, this understanding was solidified during a high-level meeting between Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the visiting Minister of Defence of Tajikistan, Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim, held at the General Headquarters.

Discussions during the engagement covered a range of subjects including matters of mutual interest, the current security landscape, and the framework for bilateral defence cooperation.

The visiting dignitary commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged its significant role in promoting stability and peace throughout the region.

Reaffirming Pakistan”s dedication to strengthening its defence and security relationship with Tajikistan, the Chief of Army Staff emphasized the critical importance of collective efforts to achieve regional stability and prosperity.
