Pakistan Seeks Substantial UAE Investment to Bolster Key Sectors

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday formally invited the United Arab Emirates to increase its investments in Pakistan’s key sectors, a move aimed at bolstering the nation”s economic growth and stability.

The appeal was made during a meeting with the UAE Ambassador, Salem Mohammed Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi, in the capital, where the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong and abiding commitment to further strengthening its relationship with the Gulf state.

Mr Sharif also acknowledged the UAE’s consistent support for Pakistan during times of need, citing previous humanitarian assistance and developmental projects.

While expressing satisfaction with the current volume of bilateral trade, the prime minister underscored the necessity for both nations to concentrate on augmenting their economic ties. He specifically identified energy, minerals, IT, railways, and aviation as priority areas for enhanced investment and collaboration.

In response, Ambassador Al Zaabi conveyed his country’s firm resolve and keen interest to deepen its partnership with Pakistan across all spheres. He assured the prime minister that he would work diligently to explore new avenues for cooperation that would yield mutual benefits for both nations.
