ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to further expand cooperation in media, drama and other related fields.

The understanding came at a meeting between Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki here on Wednesday.

They also agreed to speed up the implementation of agreements between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the field of media and communications. Discussion was also held regarding the 12th November meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The Information Minister welcomed the convening of the OIC summit by Saudi Arabia. He said as a founding member, Pakistan will continue to play its full role in the further strengthening of the OIC.

On the occasion, the Information Minister expressed good wishes for Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Saudi Ambassador also invited the Information Minister to visit Saudi Arabia.
