Pakistan, Russia Pledge To Strengthen Cooperation At SCO Summit

Pakistan and Russia have committed to bolstering their collaboration across various sectors, including trade, energy, agriculture, and defense.

This agreement came during a meeting between Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Foreign Ministers (SCO CFM) meeting in Tianjin, China.

A statement issued by Pakistan”s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X (formerly Twitter) detailed the discussions. The two diplomats conveyed their contentment with the current state of bilateral relations and affirmed their dedication to expanding cooperation.

Dar reiterated Pakistan”s invitation for Lavrov to undertake an official visit to the nation. The meeting underscores the ongoing efforts by both countries to deepen their partnership in key areas of mutual interest.
