Pakistan has reiterated its steadfast backing for an independent Palestinian state, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
Speaking at a United Nations conference in New York on “The Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution,” Dar emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine”s right to self-determination within the pre-1967 boundaries.
The foreign minister highlighted the plight of Palestinians, who have faced displacement and oppression for over 75 years. He condemned the recent violence in Gaza, characterizing the casualties and devastation caused by Israel as a grave violation of international humanitarian law, UN resolutions, and International Court of Justice rulings. He specifically cited the death of over 58,000 Palestinians.
