Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq today welcomed Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, hailing the visit as a crucial step in bolstering the long-standing relationship between the two nations. Sadiq emphasized the visit”s importance for regional stability and progress.
He praised the guidance of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Pezeshkian during the recent conflict with Israel and conveyed gratitude for Iran”s backing of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. The Speaker referenced the National Assembly”s unanimous June 13th resolution showing solidarity with Iran.
Sadiq denounced Israeli actions as a breach of international statutes, reiterating Pakistan”s firm support for Iran”s territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
President Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Pakistan”s stance and hospitality, describing it as a testament to the strong bilateral ties. He emphasized that Iran values Pakistan”s display of unity during difficult periods.
The leaders concurred on enhancing collaboration between the Pakistani and Iranian legislative bodies. They confirmed their mutual dedication to increased parliamentary dialogue and strengthened joint efforts in legislation, policy-making, cultural exchange, economic advancement, security matters, and regional stability.
