Pakistan reaffirms support for Iraq’s stability

Pakistan has once again pledged its unwavering support for Iraq’s stability and democratic advancement.

During a United Nations Security Council briefing on the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, made a compelling statement, reiterating Pakistan’s steadfast backing of Iraq’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

He stressed the critical importance of ensuring that Iraq remains insulated from regional conflicts, emphasizing that regional peace hinges on Iraq’s stability. This endorsement comes at a time when Iraq is navigating complex regional dynamics and working towards strengthening its democratic institutions and humanitarian initiatives.

Pakistan’s declaration of support underscores its commitment to fostering peace and stability in the Middle East. This aligns with its broader foreign policy objective of promoting regional harmony and prosperity. The ambassador’s address serves as a reminder of the need for international cooperation in supporting Iraq’s path to peace and democratic progress.
