Pakistan and Qatar today reaffirmed their intent to bolster trade and investment relations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed this desire during a telephonic conversation.
A Qatari delegation is set to visit Pakistan soon after Eid to advance discussions on investment opportunities.
The Prime Minister reminisced about his visit to Doha last October and expressed appreciation for the Manzar cultural exhibition. He proposed hosting a similar event in Lahore, which the Amir accepted.
Discussions also covered the regional situation, with the Prime Minister commending Qatar’s diplomatic role in peace efforts, particularly in Gaza. Both leaders exchanged Eid greetings, with the Amir extending his best wishes to the people of Pakistan.
