Speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday said Pakistan is committed to further strengthening bilateral ties with Belarus, particularly through the enhanced parliamentary engagement.

During a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Igor Sergeyenko in Minsk, Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the need to deepen parliamentary relations between the two countries, according to a Radio Pakistan’s report.

The Speaker reiterated Pakistan’s support for Belarus at the international fora including its bid to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Speaking on the occasion, Igor Sergeyenko expressed his gratitude for Pakistan’s consistent support at international fora. He welcomed the visit of Pakistani parliamentary delegation as a significant milestone in strengthening ties between the two countries.
