Pakistan joined the international community in commemorating the United Nations (UN) Day on Thursday.

In a statement, Foreign Office said on this day, Pakistan commends the role of United Nations and all its agencies, funds and programs working in Pakistan for their role in supporting socio-economic development.

It said this day marks the collective resolve of the international community to establish conditions for justice, social progress, and to save the succeeding generations from the scourge of war.
