Pakistan Demands Israeli Force Withdrawal, Full Adherence to Gaza Ceasefire

Pakistan today issued a strong call for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and an end to all unilateral military actions, urging for the full respect of the current ceasefire agreement.

The demand was articulated by Pakistan”s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, during a briefing on the Middle East at the UN Security Council.

The envoy emphasized that guaranteeing safe and unimpeded humanitarian access for the region”s population remains an essential component of the truce.

Ahmad asserted that reconstruction efforts should begin without delay and cautioned against any annexation, forced displacement, or fragmentation of occupied Palestinian land.

He underscored the necessity of a time-bound and irreversible political process, anchored in relevant UN resolutions, to achieve a lasting solution.

This diplomatic track, the ambassador detailed, must lead to the establishment of a sovereign, independent, and contiguous State of Palestine founded on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif serving as its capital.

In closing, Ahmad reaffirmed his nation”s position, stating that Pakistan stands firmly with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for dignity, justice, self-determination, and the realization of an independent state in accordance with international legitimacy.
