Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani says Pakistan remains committed to playing a positive and constructive role in promoting peace, regional stability and international standing.
Addressing a ceremony held in the honour of Belgium’s Royal delegation in Islamabad, he said Pakistan highly values Belgium as a trusted partner and friend in European Union, according to an official information today.
The Chairman Senate said Pakistan also appreciates Belgium’s support for GSP Plus framework, which has contributed positively towards economic engagements.
On this occasion, Prince Édouard de Ligne La Trémoïlle of Belgium appreciated Pakistan’s great courageous work on mediation for peace negotiations for the Middle East conflict and crisis. The Prince of Belgium advocated for more strong relations between Belgium, Europe and Pakistan.
