Delivering a statement during the UN Security Council briefing on Yemen, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Munir Akram, emphasized the critical need for immediate intervention.
According to a report on Friday, Ambassador Akram expressed deep concern over the escalating crisis in Yemen, highlighting the severe humanitarian, political, economic, and environmental repercussions. He appealed to all parties involved in the conflict to honor their commitments to fully implement peace agreements.
Ambassador Akram reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the UN-led peace process, underscoring the importance of an inclusive, comprehensive, and sustainable resolution to the conflict.
