Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa called on Minister for Defence and Defence Production Khawaja Muhammad Asif at his office here in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Federal Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador and appreciated the existing mutual goodwill and bilateral cooperation.

He said Belarus is an important country and Pakistan attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with Belarus. Matters of mutual interest, particularly cooperation in the field of defence production came under discussion.

The Defence Minister expressed that the high-level visits between two countries have extensively contributed to strengthening the bilateral relations.

He also opined that Pakistan and Belarus share a cordial history of bilateral relations in economy, trade and defence. The Minister emphasized the need for furthering existing levels of cooperation between the two countries.
