UNDP Pakistan”s Resident Representative, Dr. Samuel Rizk lauded Pakistan”s policy leadership and revealed that a UN DESA mission is scheduled to visit Islamabad next week. This mission aims to conduct preparatory sessions with both Federal and Provincial stakeholders, further enhancing Pakistan”s climate financing and investment initiatives.
This he said while meeting with the Federal Finance Minister, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb here today. The discussion centered on advancing investment-ready, climate-focused projects in collaboration with UNDP and development partners.
During the meeting, the UNDP team provided updates on Pakistan”s preparations for the upcoming 4th international conference on financing for development in Spain. They unveiled five preliminary bankable projects valued at over USD 1 billion. These projects span sectors such as green exports, biowaste management, infrastructure, and real estate.
During the meeting, the Federal Minister Finance emphasized the nation”s dedication to sustainable economic growth and climate.
