Dhaka:Pakistani High Commissioner Imran Haider met with Mohammad Hatem, President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), to discuss strengthening trade ties in the textile and knitwear industries. According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on implementing activities under the existing Memorandum of Understanding between BKMEA and the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association. They also considered organizing joint business-to-business meetings to enhance collaboration. Mohammad Hatem extended an invitation to Pakistani companies to join the upcoming Bangladesh international textile, knitting, and garment industry exhibition scheduled for January 2027 in Dhaka. This event aims to foster greater supply chain synergies between the two nations. Imran Haider assured BKMEA of Pakistan's commitment to providing cooperation to boost bilateral trade and commercial partnerships.
