Pakistan and Australia Forge Agreement to Enhance Cooperation in Technology and Resources

Pakistan and Australia have agreed to increase collaboration in agricultural technology, renewable energy, information technology, and mineral resources, following a high-level meeting between Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori and Australian High Commissioner Timothy Kane at the Governor House.

During the discussions, which centered on bilateral relations and augmenting investment, High Commissioner Kane lauded the Governor’s Initiatives, describing the provision of complimentary IT education as a commendable undertaking, according to an official report today.

Governor Tessori informed the dignitary that a local public outreach program, the ‘Bell of Hope,’ has successfully addressed 81 percent of all petitions received. The Australian envoy, who rang the bell himself, expressed pleasant surprise at the unique initiative.

The Governor noted that the decades-long strong relations between the two nations are being further strengthened by investor confidence, which he attributed to the excellent facilitation provided by the SIFC.

Following the formal talks, the High Commissioner visited the historic office of Quaid-e-Azam, where he recorded his remarks in the visitors’ book, and later joined the Governor in a flag-hoisting ceremony.
