LAHORE: Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam on Monday said about vaccination continuously 13rd day of over 5 lac vaccination per day in Punjab.
A new record of vaccination done across Punjab, record number of vaccinations are being carried out on daily basis. There are currently a total of 662 vaccination centers are in operation. In Punjab province, record more than 20 Millions citizens have been vaccinated till now. A total of 20,014,460 citizens have been vaccinated across the province. A total of 3,145,582 citizens have been vaccinated in Lahore till today.
She says that “ONLY and ONLY Vaccination” is the real remedy against COVID-19. Sarah Aslam highlights increase in corona cases, as 1,036 cases are reported in 24 hours getting tally to 364,680. 335,530 patients are fully recovered and active cases are 17,951 till date. No more death have reported in Lahore, whereas overall deaths in Punjab are 7, bringing the total of 11,199 till date.
Total tests conducted are 6,336,782 while 19,506 tests has processed in recent 24 hours, 565 cases in Lahore, 134 cases in Rawalpindi, 47 cases in Multan, 36 cases in Sialkot, 29 in Faisalabad, 24 cases in Bahawalpur, 21 cases in Bhakar, 21 cases in Rahim Yar Khan, 17 cases in Sheikhupura, 16 cases in Dera Ghazi Khan, 16 cases in Gujranwala, 14 cases in Rajanpur, 11 cases in Sahiwal, 11 cases in Toba Tek Singh, 10 cases in Vehari, 8 cases in Jhang, 8 cases in Pakpattan, 6 cases in Khanewal, 6 cases in Muzafargarh, 5 cases in Gujrat, 5 cases in Mandi Bahauddin, 4 cases in Bahawalnagar, 4 cases in Layyah, whereas respectively 3 cases are reported each in Hafizabad, Mianwali, Narowal and Okara.
During last 24 hours the average positivity ratio 5.3 has recorded across the whole Province. Provincial Capital Lahore positivity ratio recorded 9.2, 15.8 in Rawalpindi, 3.0 in Faisalabad, 5.8 in Multan and 4.8 in Sialkot.
Sarah Aslam instructed the public, adherence to SOPs and timely vaccination is the only key to cope with Delta variant, as its likely to be one of the dominant strains of COVID-19 in Pakistan and worldwide. She also appreciated the public inclusion in vaccine drive.
