The International Day of UN Peacekeepers was observed today, focusing on the critical role played by UN peacekeeping forces in maintaining global peace.
The day serves as a reminder of the United Nations’ ongoing efforts to alleviate human suffering and establish lasting peace in regions plagued by wars and internal conflicts.
Currently, over 2,800 Pakistani military and police personnel are actively participating in UN peacekeeping missions across African nations. This significant contribution places Pakistan fifth in terms of uniformed personnel involved in these operations, according to Radio Pakistan.
