Islamabad: More than 17,000 private Hajj pilgrims have successfully completed their bookings through the Pak Hajj App. This development was shared by Muhammad Umar Butt, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, in a statement today.

According to Radio Pakistan, 14 billion rupees have been transferred to the accounts of authorized Hajj companies via the National IT Board's Digital Hajj Portal. Additionally, 6 billion rupees have been deposited online through One-Link and bank cards. Despite the substantial number of completed bookings, 54,000 seats remain available under the private Hajj scheme.

The spokesperson encouraged prospective private pilgrims to utilize the Pak Hajj App to select their preferred Hajj package from the comfort of their homes. He emphasized the importance of selecting a Hajj organizer and making payments for the Hajj package solely through the Pak Hajj App.

Muhammad Umar Butt highlighted that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has banned direct payments to any individual or Hajj company. He issued a warning that the ministry will not be held accountable for any fraud stemming from transactions made outside the Pak Hajj App. The deadline for booking under the private Hajj scheme through the Hajj Portal is set for November 20, 2026.
