ISLAMABAD: Outgoing Director General ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Thursday.
During the meeting, the prime minster appreciated Hameed’s services as DG ISI and extended best wishes over his new appointment as Peshawar Corps Commander. Separately, the DG ISI also paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad today. Hameed will be replaced by Lt General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum as DG ISI, who will assume charge on November 20, 2021. Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved the appointment of Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed Anjum as DG Inter-Services Intelligence, with effect from November 20, 2021.
Yesterday, Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General Faiz Hameed had also paid a farewell call on President Dr Arif Alvi at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Wednesday. During the meeting, the president appreciated the services rendered by Lt General Faiz Hameed for national security. He extended best wishes to him on his new appointment as the Corps Commander Peshawar.
