Orakzai:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub Khan accompanied by Orakzai MPA Syed Azan Jamal visited Orakzai Headquarters Babar Mela Hangu and met tribal elders regarding the Consultative Jirga for development of newly merged Districts.
During the visit, Deputy Commissioner Orakzai Muhammad Asif Rahim gave a detailed briefing regarding Orakzai tribal district. Officers of all departments including DPO Nisar Ahmad Khan were present on the occasion. Member Provincial Assembly Ghazan Jamal and tribal elders briefed the provincial minister on Orakzai’s problems and offered their suggestions.
Addressing the tribal consultative jirga, the minister said that on the special instructions of Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, we are holding consultative jirgas with the tribal people with the aim of repairing the damage caused by terrorism in the tribal areas. He said the tribes have made a lot of sacrifices and although it is difficult to make up for these sacrifices, we try to at least compensate them.
Arshid Ayub khan further said tribal people’s problems will be solved to make their life easier and to develop these districts. Historic projects of the provincial government are underway in Orakzai tribal district.
A cadet college will also be set up in Orakzai which has already been approved. On this occasion, the leaders of different communities also apprised the minister of their problems related to their respective areas and demanded immediate solution. The provincial minister assured that all their issues would be resolved on priority basis.
