SHIKARPUR: One more villager was killed and other injured in the katcha area of Rustam within Kot Shahoo Police Station on Thursday.
According to a report, a group of armed men opened fires on two villagers coming back to their village Anwar Baddani on Rekshaw. As a result, Ali Hassan Baddani was killed on the spot while his relative Papoo son of Iqbal Badani received serious injured.
The body was brought to Taluka Hospital Khanpur for medico legal formalities. The cause behind the murder was said to be an ongoing old enmity between two rival groups of Baddani and Misrani communities developed over the old matter of theft.
No FIR was registered till late evening. After the incident, both of Baddani and Misrani community men equipped with weapons which caused unrest in localities.
