Nursing school to be established in KIHD

KARACHI:A meeting of the governing body of Karachi Institute of Heart Disease was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, in which various administrative and other issues related to KIHD were considered.

It was decided that a nursing school in Karachi Institute of Heart Disease will be established under public private partnership, according to a statement issued on Sunday. Mr Wahab said that the nursing school will enable people to earn a skilled and dignified livelihood. Karachi Institute of Heart Disease provides heart disease diagnosis and treatment facilities to a large number of citizens, so all possible steps will be taken to improve the quality of the hospital.

Wahab established a committee under the supervision of Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad which will fix the rent of three pharmacy shops allotted free of cost in Karachi Institute of Heart Disease and the rent will be charged from these three shops on a regular basis every month. Apart from this, whatever utility these shops will use, they will be charged for the utility by installing a sub-meter.
