New administrator is very active and working day and night: Governor Sindh

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori attended the birthday celebrations of Malka and Sonia with the students of various schools at Safari Park here today.

Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman was also present on the occasion. Governor Sindh performed cake cutting for 16th birthday of Sonia and 18th birthday of Malka and presented both of them cake and fruits. He met with children present on the occasion and appreciated their zest and zeal, for the birthday.

While talking with media men on the occasion, Governor Sindh said that these elephants are the main attraction for specially children here. Efforts are underway to make Karachi city of lights once again, he added. Governor Sindh said that new Administrator is very active and working day and night for beautification of Karachi and in few days he has worked as if he was here for months.

Kamran Khan Tessori further said that Karachi will have a fresh and a new look within days as repair and maintenance of roads, roundabouts, footpaths is being carried out on war footings. Thousands of saplings are also being planted on various roads of Karachi to give them a clean and green look, he added.

He said that Aladin park is being reconstructed on the direction of Supreme Court of Pakistan and after completion it would be given the name of Jinnah Park which would provide excellent recreational facilities to Karachiites. He said that more animals would be brought in Safari park and this recreational facility would further be expanded and improved to attract more visitors.

Governor Sindh said that he was very pleased to see happiness on the faces of children. We want to make everyone happy like these children, he added and said that for this very purpose efforts are being made. Governor Sindh said that he met with representatives of a company in Islamabad, who are willing to provide laptops to students in only 100 US dollars. This would help students in their higher education, he added.
