As per Prime Minister’s directives, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) coordinated with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the repatriation of injured and deceased Pakistani Zaireens from Iran via special C130 aircraft flight.
The plane landed in Jacobabad at midnight 23/24 August 2024. District Administration arranged transportation of coffins to the respective home towns, according to a statement issued here on Saturday.
The aircraft carried 28 coffins, 16 injured individuals and three accompanying staff members of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The NDMA expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and remained committed to responding to any emergency situation.
