National Conference leader and Indian parliament member Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Saturday urged the BJP-led Indian government to immediately address the dire situation of the Kashmiri prisoners held outside the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Agha Ruhullah highlighted the critical issues faced by the Kashmiri detainees, particularly from the Valley, in a letter addressed to India’s Home Minister Amit Shah.
He expressed particular concern for young individuals detained without trial, arguing that it is unfair on part of the Indian government to hold these people at an age that is crucial for their personal and professional development. He called on the Modi government to expedite their release.
