Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, today appealed for national unity, transcending political differences, to tackle Balochistan’s severe energy deficits. He delivered these comments during his closing address at a research dissemination event on rural electrification in Balochistan, arranged by the Policy Research Institute for Equitable Development (PRIED).

‘At this critical juncture, we must transcend political divides and collaborate to guarantee no region is neglected,’ Barrister Danyal declared. ‘The energy shortfall in Balochistan is a nationwide issue that requires unified action and collective accountability.’

The Parliamentary Secretary stressed that Balochistan’s advancement is vital to Pakistan’s growth. He highlighted the administration”s dedication through the National Electricity Plan 2023 and the Alternative Renewable Energy Policy 2019, which seek to attain complete electrification and boost renewable energy”s proportion to 30% by 2030.

‘Balochistan’s vast renewable resources must be utilized for its citizens and for Pakistan,’ he affirmed. ‘We are devoted to converting strategies into concrete initiatives-grid expansions, solar power systems, and backing for agricultural electrification.’

The gathering featured keynote speeches by Mr. Shah Jahan Mirza, Managing Director of PPIB, and Members of the National Assembly Mr. Usman Badini and Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani. Researchers Mr. Muqaddas Ashiq and Mr. Manzoor Alizai shared insights on electrification in Nushki, while a panel discussion incorporated specialists from business and social organizations.

Barrister Danyal praised PRIED for promoting an informed conversation and encouraged all participants to cooperate in guaranteeing fair advancement and energy equity for Balochistan.
