The National Assembly convened its session at the parliament house in Islamabad on Thursday, under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah.

In a solemn start, the assembly paid tribute to the late former lawmaker Hafiz Hussain Ahmed by offering fateha for his departed soul. The Deputy Speaker expressed dissatisfaction due to the absence of key ministers expected to address the assembly during the question hour. Consequently, the session was adjourned until tomorrow at 11:30 am.

In market news, the KSE-100 Index showed activity with a fluctuating performance, while the KSE-30, KSEALLSHR, KMI-30, KMIALLSHR, BKTI, and OGTI indices also recorded varied movements. The overall market turnover and traded value reflected active participation, with market capitalization standing firm.
