Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, met with Sukkur IBA University interns completing their placements at the National Assembly Secretariat.
This internship fell under the National Assembly’s Institutionalized Internship Program, a key project of the Speaker under the National Assembly Strategic Plan. This flagship program involves over 600 students nationwide annually.
The program seeks to involve young people in parliamentary procedures and develop their skills through practical placements and instruction. The Sukkur IBA University interns discussed their contributions and experiences working with various Assembly directorates, including Media, IT, Finance, and HR.
They presented several innovative IT solutions crafted during their six-week internship to the Speaker. These include a Transcription System, Voice Recognition Module, IT Inventory System, Case Management System, Voucher Management System, and a redesigned CPA Website. Sadiq commended their work and advised them to further refine these systems for potential use within the Secretariat.
He urged the interns to maintain their dedication to public service and national progress with similar zeal and ingenuity. The Speaker encouraged ethical conduct, professionalism, and continuous learning, stressing that their National Assembly experience should form the basis for responsible and impactful professions.
