A team of the Narcotics Control Wing of the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Sindh raided a house in a private housing society along the Superhighway and recovered a liquor factory, a large number of foreign-made local liquor bottles, chemicals used in the production of liquor, stickers and empty bottles.
According to a statement issued by Sindh Information Department today, Director Narcotics Control Karachi Riaz Hussain Khoso in a press conference at the DG Narcotics Control Wing Secretariat, said that his team arrested an accused from Korangi area and recovered 12 bottles of foreign-made local liquor from his possession.
He said that on the indication of the accused, a raid was conducted in a private society situated along Superhighway area, where 254 bottles of international-made local liquor worth millions of rupees, 57 liters of prepared liquor drums, three ethanol cans, stickers, bottle caps, other packing materials, and a Mehran car used in drug smuggling were recovered while one accused managed to escape.
Khoso further said that the accused were preparing international brand liquor locally with the help of various formulas and chemicals.
