The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is set to auction a substantial 800 kanals of agricultural land owned by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Zulfi Bukhari in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case. The auction, announced via an official advertisement from the Assistant Commissioner of Jand, Attock district, is scheduled for October 1 at 11 a.m. at the Jand Municipal Office.

The estate, divided into two plots of 771 kanals 9 marlas and 25 kanals 7 marlas, is being sold under the directive of NAB’s Deputy Director, Coordination Investigation Wing. This action follows a January 2024 court declaration naming Bukhari, along with Farhat Shahzadi (alias Farah Gogi) and former aide Shahzad Akbar, as absconders in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

This is not NAB’s first attempt to liquidate assets related to the case. A prior auction successfully sold 405 kanals of agricultural land in Mohra Noor, Bani Gala, for Rs34.2 million per kanal. However, a 16-kanal motel plot on Club Road and 245 kanals of farmland failed to attract any offers. That process was overseen by Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Uzair Ali Khan and a committee.

The upcoming auction will also feature properties in Mohra Noor, totaling 248 kanals 8 marlas and 405 kanals 3 marlas. Interested parties are required to submit a Rs50 million pay order to the NAB Chairman for participation. Potential bidders can examine the properties beforehand, and local revenue officials (patwaris) will be available to furnish necessary information.
