NA Approves 65 Demands for Grants Without Opposition Cuts

The National Assembly on Tuesday approved 65 Demands for Grants relating to expenditures (excluding charged expenditures) of various federal ministries and divisions.

The approval came during its session, without any cut motions from the opposition, signifying a smooth passage in the lower house of Parliament.

According to an official statement shared by the National Assembly on X (formerly Twitter), the demands were formally moved by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, as part of the ongoing budget proceedings for the upcoming fiscal year.

The approval of these demands is a procedural yet essential step in finalizing the federal budget, ensuring continued functioning and financing of key government departments and services.
