Pakistan has reaffirmed its demand for adding the more non-permanent seats to make the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) more effective, representative and accountable.
This reaffirmation was expressed by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram while talking to delegates in New York, the state-run Radio Pakistan reported on Wednesday.
He said there is no justification for creation of new centers of privilege within the UN, and there were no States which could justifiably claim such unequal status under the UN Charter.
