Islamabad: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has exposed the propaganda of the Afghan Taliban regime and termed the anti-Pakistan statement by its spokesperson misleading and fabricated.

According to Radio Pakistan, a Fact Check by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting revealed that Zabihullah Mujahid, the Spokesperson of the Taliban regime, made a false and baseless claim during an interview with Afghan media outlet Aamaj News. Mujahid alleged that the Pakistan Army was involved in the armed clashes in Badakhshan, a claim that has been dismissed by the Ministry.

Independent reports have established that these clashes are part of an internal armed struggle against the Afghan Taliban's unrepresentative and repressive regime. The violence in Badakhshan is reflective of Afghanistan's own internal security and administrative challenges, not external interference.

Pakistan has consistently advocated for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan and maintains that it has no interest in destabilizing its neighboring country. The Ministry emphasized that instead of leveling allegations against Pakistan, the Taliban regime should address the growing problems stemming from its failed governance.

The statement from the Ministry suggests that the Afghan Taliban regime is resorting to anti-Pakistan propaganda to obscure its declining influence in Afghanistan and the increasing resistance against its rule. The fabricated allegations are seen as an attempt by the Taliban to attribute an external dimension to the escalating armed clashes within Afghanistan.
