LARKANA: A teenage girl who went missing from Muslim Town of Lahore two weeks ago was recovered from Larkana city of Sindh on Friday.

Taking notice of the kidnapping of a 19-year-old female student, Hareem-un-Nisa, from Lahore two weeks ago, DIG Investigation Kamran Adil formed a special committee to find the girl’s whereabouts.

The DIG said that the investigation police recovered the girl from Larkana. Iqbal Town SP Investigation Rizwan Tariq said that the distraught girl left her home when her parents scolded her on showing poor interest in her studies. She went to Data Darbar after her college. A woman at Darbar lured her and took her to Larkana.

The police located the girl with the help of CCTV footages and modern technology, the SP said adding that the police teams were bringing her back to Lahore from Larkana. He said police were investigating several other aspects, besides looking for the unknown woman who kidnapped the girl.
