Minorities’ Role in Pakistan’s History Unforgettable: Sindh Energy Minister

Sindh Minister for Energy, Development and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, in his message on National Minority Day, emphasized the unforgettable role of minorities in Pakistan’s history and ongoing progress. He lauded their dedication, hard work, and sacrifices for national development. Shah highlighted the President’s message emphasizing interfaith harmony, acceptance, and a commitment to national unity.

He affirmed that Pakistan’s Constitution guarantees equal rights for all citizens, and the Pakistan Peoples Party has always championed minority rights. The Minister cited the dedicated 5% quota for minorities in government jobs and the declaration of public holidays on minority religious festivals as key achievements of the PPP government.

Shah highlighted the allocation of specific funds for the renovation and protection of temples, churches, and gurdwaras. He further mentioned educational scholarships for minority students and employment initiatives for their youth. He stated that the Sindh government is following Quaid-e-Azam’s vision and ensures comprehensive security during minority religious events.

In conclusion, the Minister appealed to the public to promote tolerance, brotherhood, and mutual respect to foster an environment of peace, love, and unity in Pakistan.
