Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, paid homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the Karbala martyrs in a poignant message on Ashura, Saturday. He declared that the central message of Karbala is to fear only God.

Chaudhry emphasized that Imam Hussain’s (RA) sacrifice motivates individuals to uphold truth and justice, even when confronting oppression.

He characterized Karbala as a powerful symbol of altruism, sacrifice, and truthfulness, adding that sacrifices for truth are a source of dignity.

The minister observed that Imam Hussain (RA), rather than yielding to tyranny, championed truth. He added that the lesson from Hussain (RA) is to embrace martyrdom for truth over submitting to falsehood.

Chaudhry concluded that Muharram promotes patience, forbearance, and the spirit of sacrifice for justice and truth.
