Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal announced that efforts will be made to improve the healthcare sector to better serve underprivileged patients.

During a visit to PIMS here on Thursday, Kamal emphasized the importance of telemedicine in alleviating the burden on existing hospitals.

Kamal shared plans for a “one patient, one identity” system, which will be implemented nationwide across healthcare facilities. This initiative aims to streamline patient care and improve the efficiency of healthcare services.

The minister also revealed that the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate new projects at PIMS, including seven newly established operation theaters, marking a significant upgrade in the facility’s capabilities.
