Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Ms Shaza Fatima Khawaja chaired the 45th R and D (Research and Development) Fund Policy Committee meeting on Monday.

The Committee approved Rs599.29 million budget release for Ignite Company for 2nd Quarter of FY (Fiscal Year) 2024-25. Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan and Special Secretary IT and Telecom Division Azfar Manzoor were also present in the meeting.

Ms Shaza Fatima Khawaja directed Ignite management to keep Ignite projects of short time period so that these could be completed in stipulated time.

She said every project must have timeline and to be completed timely. The Minister of State for IT and Telecom also directed Ignite management to organize e-sports competition on locally developed games.

Earlier, the authorities of Ignite briefed the chair about its ongoing and future projects. The meeting also confirmed the minutes of 44th meeting of R and D Fund Policy Committee.
