Minister condemns malicious campaign against Armed Forces

Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions and Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Engr Amir Muqam has strongly condemned the malicious campaign against the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

Addressing a news conference here in Islamabad on Monday, he said a certain political party is continuing the campaign against the state institutions which is regrettable.

The Minister said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is following the same agenda to destabilize the country which it implemented on 9th May by targeting state institutions including torching Radio Pakistan’s building and disgracing the memorials of martyrs.

Engineer Amir Muqam lauded the sacrifices of the Armed Forces of Pakistan in the war against terrorism and their services for the country.

He said the government of Pakistan strongly condemns the incident ransacking Pakistani Consulate in Germany. He said those involved in this incident want confrontation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Turning to the situation in Bannu, he said every political party has right to protest, however, peace and economy should not be politicized.

He strongly condemned targeting the state institutions in Bannu. He demanded formation of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe into Bannu incident.

The Minister said the country is heading towards the economic stability due to the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Syed Asim Munir. He also stressed the need to work collectively for peace and progress of the country.
