Memon responds to Punjab about Sindh water issue

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has responded to Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari’s remarks, reaffirming that Sindh’s concerns regarding water management are legitimate.

According to a statement today, Memon emphasized that water is a basic right for all, and any initiative or project should involve consensus. He pointed to the 1991 Water Accord, which mandates fair distribution of water among provinces, including Sindh.

Memon advised Bukhari to understand the ground realities before commenting further and reiterated that Sindh’s stance on water issues is clear. He also highlighted the need for national prosperity and agricultural development, calling for maximum support and resources for small farmers.
