LARKANA:  Members of Watan Dost Mazdoor Federation Pakistan took out a large rally from Lahori Regulator which after marching through various major roads culminated at Jinnah Bagh Friday for resolving issues confronted daily by labourers and daily wagers.

Participants including Zawar Gopang, Gul Korai, Bakht Solangi, Bashir Deenari, Imtiaz Abbasi, Salim Gul Abro and others said that labourers working in various Rice Mills have become unable to arrange dowry for their daughters, scholarship for their children, death grants and other required facilities which have been closed by Sindh Workers Welfare Board and EOBI which is highhandedness.

They said that due to inflation, it is becoming difficult to run the household expenses from daily wages and pension and their family members have been forced to undergo hunger. They demanded that massive price hikes should immediately be controlled, the problems of the workers should be solved and the pension should be increased to Rs20, 000 so that they could be able to run their homes during sky-rocketing inflation.
