Islamabad:Speaker of the People's Majlis of the Maldives, Abdul Raheem Abdullah, has expressed a strong commitment to enhancing trade and economic cooperation with Pakistan. According to Radio Pakistan, Abdul Raheem made these remarks during his visit to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry's Capital Office in Islamabad. He was accompanied by a parliamentary delegation from the Maldives. Abdul Raheem highlighted the potential for introducing more Pakistani businesses and products to the Maldivian market. He also noted opportunities for expanding collaboration in sectors such as tourism, hospitality, and services. The Maldivian Speaker emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with Pakistan's business community. Earlier, Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, welcomed the Maldivian delegation. He underscored the potential for expanding bilateral trade, investment, and business-to-business relations, and invited Maldivian in vestors to explore opportunities in Pakistan.
