Quetta: The services of 913 community teachers serving in Balochistan Education Foundation be regularized forthwith. It was stated by Zahoor Magsi, General Secretary, and Balochistan Community Teachers Association while talking to PPI in the protest camp of Balochistan Community Teachers Association set up outside Quetta Press Club here on Saturday.
Magsi said that Community Teachers had been serving in Provincial Education Department on contract basis for the last fifteen years, but their services had not yet been regularized. He said that community teachers had been assured at the time of their contract appointment that their services would be regularized within a period of three years, but despite lapse of considerable period of time, the services of community teachers had not been regularized.
He added that in order to get the services of 913 community teachers regularized, both male and female community teachers of the province had set up a protest camp outside Quetta Press Club, adding that community Teachers had been observing protest in the protest camp set up outside Quetta Press Club for the last 125 days, but the authorities were not paying heed to get the genuine demand of community teachers addressed.
Demanding of the authorities to regularize the services of contract community teachers of Balochistan Education Foundation, he said that protest movement of Balochistan Community Teachers Association would continue until the acceptance of legitimate demand of community teachers.
