Luni deplores murderous attack on Qari Mehrullah

QUETTA:,,, Provincial Amir, Markazi Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazriyati, Maulana Abdul Qadir Luni, has strongly condemned the murderous attack on Maulana Qari Mehrullah, District Amir, MJUI-N, Quetta.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Thursday with other central, provincial and district leaders of MJUI-N, he demanded of the authorities to apprehend perpetrators involved in attack on Qari Mehrullah.

He said that due to the incompetence of the government and the administration, there were continuous explosions and murderous attacks on the leadership of MJUI-N, adding that Inspector General of Police Balochistan and other concerned authorities had been informed, but no action had yet been taken.

He said that several workers of MJUI-N had been killed, but not a single murderer had been arrested. The incidents of unrest and target killing in the province has raised a question mark on the government’s performance, said he, adding that government had accepted the demands of the MJUI-N in Buleli customs area of Quetta after the bomb blast of Chaman, but government had not fulfilled its commitments.

He said in order to delay or postpone the forthcoming elections, unrest was deliberately being spread, adding that conspiracies hatched aimed at postponing the election-2024. He said that law and order situation was getting deteriorated, adding that it was the first and foremost responsibility of the state and government to protect the lives and properties of the citizens. He said, “If the government does not have the ability to deal with unrest and maintain law and order situation, then the government should resign”. He said that if the demands were not accepted by January 15, MJUI-N would announce a protest across the province.
