ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said Hamza Shehbaz has been elected as the Chief Minister of Punjab as a result of implementation on Supreme Court’s judgment.

In a statement, she said the ten votes were rejected by the Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly in the light of apex court’s decision. The Information Minister said former Prime Minister Imran Khan should accept the court’s decision instead of hurling threats. She said the lies, mischiefs and hypocrisy of Imran Khan is causing irreparable loss to the country.

She said Punjab Chief Minister’s election is a victory of democracy in the country. She said Punjab is political citadel of PML-N and it will remain so. She said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is working to bring about economic stability by promoting peace and harmony in the country.
