Law Enforcement – Islamabad Police Initiate Crackdown On Criminals, Unregistered Vehicles

Islamabad Police have launched a major operation targeting criminals and unregistered vehicles in the capital city. A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, outlined the initiative which will focus on individuals involved in serious offenses, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, and dacoity.

The meeting, attended by senior police officials including SSP Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan, SSP CTD, AIG General and Development, Zonal SPs, and SP Dolphin and Patrolling, saw a review of individual officer performance. The DIG stressed a zero-tolerance approach towards unregistered and vehicles lacking number plates, directing targeted actions against wanted criminals and operating gangs.

Increased patrolling will be implemented to enhance public safety, with officers mandated to maintain a constant presence on the streets. DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq reiterated the Islamabad Police’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and possessions of residents as their top priority.
